The Angus Interface

 

Our partnership working initiative with VCA has developed through the Angus Interface which has the following representation:

 

 

 

Community Action Angus (CAA) is the title of the working partnership between VCA and AAVO formally constituted by both agencies in June 2010.  

 

AAVO and VCA are independent agencies representing the interests of the Angus third sector and volunteering respectively.   As well connected and thriving infrastructure organisations, both agencies are registered charities, and registered companies, with strategic and operational business development as part of their long term support to communities across Angus and Tayside.  

 

Through Community Action Angus we will deliver the following 4 elements required by the Scottish Government for 2011-2012. 

 

1. Volunteering Development
2. Social Enterprise Development
3. Supporting and Developing a strong Third Sector
4. Building the Third Sector relationship with Community Planning

 

CAA activity will be informed by a Strategy, and a Business Plan, both of which are in draft prior to consultation followed by endorsement by the Boards of both agencies;   Angus Community Planning Partnership; and the Scottish Government.
